Biology by the Sea at UCSD

Biology by the Sea is a graduate student and faculty workshop in Biology Studies is part of a continuing effort to build a community of scholars in the history and philosophy of life sciences in the southwest. Hosted this year by the University of California in San Diego on January 23rd-25th, Biology by the Sea is building on the model of Biology by the Bay, held in San Francisco in 2007, and last year's joint UC Davis/UC San Diego meeting. This workshop was an opportunity for graduate students to discuss their work, learn about the projects of their peers, and build stronger professional and social networks in the biology studies community.
